Skegness Triathlon is back on Sunday 12th May – a friendly all-inclusive event for novices through to elite athletes. Part of the Lincolnshire Triathlon Series with Grantham Triathlon on 7th April & Louth Triathlon on Sunday 2nd September.

New for 2019 – Super Sprint Triathlon distance

Set from a modern 25m pool, Fresh Fitness at Richmond Holiday Park offers a great venue to start the 2nd race in The Lincs Tri Series. The pool is only a year old and very clean. After the swim, exit the pool onto grass & enter transition to grab your helmet, shoes & bike. The bike journeys along Drummond Road, between the Holiday Park and Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve on a relatively flat and straight 11k/18k course. The route has turning points at either end that will be fully marshalled by our team to guide you along the course and shout encouragement at you. The run element is a trail run from Richmond Holiday Park and along a private road to the Skegness Eco Coastal Centre. Part of the course will be around the beautiful Eco Centre and it’s wooded areas.

Skegness Triathlon Club are based at the award winning Richmond Holiday Park and will be on hand to talk triathlon as well as advise on membership to the Triathlon Club.

For those wishing to stay at the very impressive Richmond Holiday Park, we have agreed that any participants, friends and family can get 30% off the cost of your accommodation (please note camping isn’t allowed at the park). There is also pitches for those who wish to bring their own caravan /motorhome (if you mention the triathlon you can book for 1-2 nights only). For SuperSprint distance only 1 lap of the bike & 1 lap of the run course will be required after 8 lengths of the pool.

We have added aquabike & aquathlon to all our triathlon events – so if you fancy a shorter race over the swim / run or swim / bike elements you can enter this race. Held on the same day, you will go into the usual waves of the triathlon race & head from the pool straight onto the run OR bike before crossing the finish line to grab your medal. We think this is a great way to try a multi-sport race.

TEAMS: The team consists of 2 or 3 members. If your team has 2 members, the first member will conduct the swim and the run and the 2nd member will conduct the bike. If your team has 3 members, 1 member conducts EITHER the swim, the bike or the run. The team can consist of British Triathlon Federation members and non-members. Any non-members must pay their £5.00 Day Licence fee at registration on the day of the event.

For the Aquathlon & Aquabike the team will consist of 2 members, 1 on the swim and 1 on the run.

Please note:

You will only be able to ENTER the Lincolnshire Triathlon Series (Sprint distance only) up to the date when Grantham Triathlon online entries close (24th March) – OR if you competed at Grantham & you book onto Skegness Triathlon & Louth Triathlon then you will be automatically entered into the series.

The Lincolnshire Triathlon Series comprises of 3 races in 2019; Grantham Triathlon on 7th April, Skegness Triathlon on Sunday 12th May and Louth Triathlon on Sunday 1st September.

Entries for Skegness Triathlon event will close 11.59pm Sunday 28th April.

Entries for Louth Triathlon event will close 11.59pm Sunday 18th August.

 

Collect your race number at registration Sat 11th May 5-6pm or Sun 12th May from 7.30am. Race numbers will be put online the week after entries close on 28th April

Final PRE RACE INFORMATION will be sent by 7th May

Don’t forget your bike helmets!!! No lid  – no race!

Bring your BTF licence card if you are a member – otherwise you’ll need a day licence at cost of £5
