The Goose Fair Gallop Sunday 9th October 2022

It’s flat, it’s fast, it’s friendly, it’s old school 10K running at its best – and this year we have chip-timing!
This well-loved race will be held in the stunning surroundings of the Bennerley Viaduct and the Erewash Canal.
The mainly flat route will take runners along canal towpaths and country trails, finishing beneath the newly restored ‘Iron Giant’ that is Bennerley Viaduct.The race will be run in a time trial format with runners starting in waves from 10:00am based on their predicted finish time. The conditions under foot vary from gravel tracks, canal paths and un-kept trails to smooth pavement. Entry numbers are limited to just 200 participants and it will not be possible to enter on the day.All finishers will receive a medal and a goodie bag. Kimberley & District Striders will adhere to all current guidance provided by English Athletics to ensure their race is COVID-19-secure. This guidance will be updated regularly on the Goose Fair Gallop website and also emailed to all participants before race day.
